Standards, building codes and patents overview

Standards are documents that outline specifications, procedures and guidelines in a range of fields and industries. Australian Standards documents are available via the Engineering Workbench platform*

Building Codes are regulatory frameworks for the building industry, available through the the National Construction Code (NCC) website. 

Patents are licences given for a set period, excluding others from reuse or resale of an idea, invention etc. Use the Australian Government's AusPat Quick Search.
