Reports overview

Generally a report is a type of documentation that outlines the findings of an inquiry. It includes analysis that is backed by data, and provides recommendations based on the findings. Reports include government, organisational or industry reports.

The referencing information is often found on the cover page and title page of a report.

  • Organisations known in their abbreviated form should be shortened to this form in subsequent citations  e.g. WHO (2011) or (WHO, 2011).
