Online Elder Abuse Toolkit (Senior Rights Victoria)
Elder abuse is any act which causes harm to an older person and is carried out by someone they know and trust such as a family member or friend. The toolkit is an easily accessible website containing simple, plain language elder abuse information for anyone who works with older people.
The toolkit aims to:
improve worker confidence in supporting older people experiencing or at risk of elder abuse;
provide information about the types of abuse, signs to watch for and what to do about it, including what to do when someone refuses help;
provide easy access to a range of information resources and where to go;
promote work practices based on the rights of older people to live with dignity and safety. [Description taken from website]
