The Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB) is a Council of Australian Government (COAG) standards writing body that is responsible for the National Construction Code (NCC) which comprises the Building Code of Australia (BCA) and the Plumbing Code of Australia (PCA). It is a joint initiative of all three levels of government in Australia. The ABCB address issues of safety and health, amenity and sustainability in the design, construction and performance of buildings.

The Australasian Procurement and Construction Countil Inc (APCC) is the peak council whose members are responsible for procurement, construction and asset management policy for the Australia, State and Territory Governments and the New Zealand Government.

Safe Work Australia is an Australian Government statutory agency established in 2009, with the primary responsibility of improving work health and safety and workers’ compensation arrangements across Australia. Safe Work Australia represents a genuine partnership between governments, unions and industry. Together we work towards the goal of reducing death, injury and disease in the workplace.
