Public legal information available through AustLII includes:

• Cases and legislation for Commonwealth of Australia, Australian states and territories, and New Zealand
• Law journals
• Law reform
• Australian treaties
• Specific laws such as aviation law, health practitioner law, human rights, indigenous law, intellectual property law, military law, privacy law, taxation law and workplace law

When reading legislation, Navigation options will show in the right most column:

• use Next Section and Previous Section to browse through the legislation.
• Table of Provisions will show a list of contents in the legislation, and each has a link to go directly to that section.
• Notes will give any information about versions or updates and any explanation required for the legislation

When a search has been performed, the right most column will show options for Repeat Search Over. 

• use Law on Google to perform a search on Google for legal results related to the search - this is a good way to find associated news stories and other media related to your search.
