The independent accrediting authority for nursing and midwifery under the National Registration and Accreditation Scheme. It sets standards for accreditation and accredits nursing and midwifery courses and providers.

ANMAC is also an authorised assessing authority for the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) and undertakes skills assessments of internationally qualified nurses and midwives seeking permanent migration in Australia.

The Nursing Federation site contains information concerning the Nursing Profession. All Australian States and Territories are represented with information on, wages & awards, relevant nursing publications and newsletters, health industry concerns and an employment page. The site also links to the National Enrolled Nurse Association and other nursing organisations.
